Acorn Dough Nuts

17 Nov

Fall is finally here with winter on its way. Living in California, I don’t get to see the season change as much as others do.

I don’t really get to see the leaves change to red, orange and yellow and fall to the ground, or feel the crisp fall air. Here, some days it is cold and cloudy and then it will be sunny the next day with some chilly air! I can feel the season’s change though.

One thing I don’t see too often, but is associated with fall is acorns. To bring these into your fall season if you don’t see them either, I have the cutest and easiest recipe to bring these into your home.

This recipe is so festive and a tastes so sweet!

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Frost a third or so of a plain or glazed doughnut hole with chocolate frosting or peanut butter.
  2. Roll the frosted top in crumbled toffee (look for it in the baking section of grocery stores), then add a small piece of a pretzel for the stem.

See how easy that is! Now enjoy!
